Barcelona and Super Falcons striker, Asisat Oshoala has expressed her desire to return to Nigeria after a long stay in Spain. The women’s league in Spain is over and Barcelona have won the league, hence no football activity for the ladies and the Barcelona striker is already staying indoor as a result of COVID-19 quarantine.
Asisat has won the African Footballer of the Year 4 times and is arguably the most prominent African women’s footballer now. Asisat finished second on the goal scorers’ chart behind her Barcelona teammate, Jennie Hermoso.
Asisat is also a popular figure in Lagos. Staying indoors away from home can be boring, no wonder Asisat wants to return home.
Now the COVID-19 pandemic has force Spanish government have ban people from coming in and going out of the country as well as Nigeria but the Barcelona femeni striker Asisat is tired of staying indoor and she want to return home.
“Abeg who get private jet wey him no Dey use for now, please Comman carry me from Barcelona to Lagos
…..I want to go home,” she said.
Flights from outside the country are not yet allowed due to the Federal Government’s ban on flights due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Asisat came to Barcelona on loan and was later signed on a permanent deal after a stellar season with the Catalan club. She scored Barcelona’s only goal in the 2019 Champions League final against Lyon, a game Barcelona lost 4-1 to the French giants.
