REPORTS: Leroy Sane agrees to a five-year contract with Bayern Munich. Leroy Sane has agreed to a five-year contract with Bayern Munich, according to German outlet Sport Bild
The publication reports that the Germany international has agreed to personal terms with the Bundesliga giants and the next phase will be Manchester City agreeing to a transfer fee before the move is finalized in summer.
It is understood that Bayern has initially offered €40m (£35m) – which is £11m less than what City paid Schalke for Sane in 2016.
Player at crossroads
Many would see a fee of £60 million is cheap for a player of Sane’s standards, but former Bayern boss Jupp Heynckes believes it’s fair.
“For me, he has not yet made a breakthrough to becoming an absolute top player,” Heynckes said.
“I think this is a player at a crossroads. Will he keep working hard on himself or will he remain just as an exceptional talent?
“He has to be ready to take the next big step because there is no use in flashing the talent from time to time.
“I also honestly tell you that I don’t consider the price justifiable.
You’d imagine they will need to return with an improved offer. But Bayern is confident of snapping him up for less than £60 million Just imagine a front-three of Sane, Serge Gnabry, and Robert Lewandowski.
