Paris Saint Germain and Brazil star Neymar has revealed when he will finally join Barcelona, the 28-year-old has been heavily linked with Barca this summer transfer window.
It is not unusual for players to be linked with clubs at this time of the year but for Neymar, he has been linked with Barcelona since he left the Catalonians in 2017. It is almost as if the Blaugrana were on his trail the moment he signed for PSG for a world-record transfer fee.
To be fair, the Spanish giants never wanted to sell, but the Brazilian seemed keen on the move and with PSG activating his release clause, Barcelona was sitting ducks.
That said, it seemed Neymar regretted the move almost immediately, openly suggesting he wanted a return to the Camp Nou, further fueling what is probably one of the longest transfer rumors.
However, Neymar’s agent, Wagner Ribeiro has appeared to shut down rumors linking the Brazilian superstar with a return to Barcelona – claiming his client is likely to stay with PSG because of the impact of coronavirus.
Barcelona is said to be interested in reuniting Neymar with the likes of Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez, a trio who caused chaos for opposition teams when they played together, and have been linked with a big-money move to bring him back.
“I think Neymar will stay at PSG because the market is difficult,’ he said, as reported by the Sun.
“The economic world of football will change.”
