Portuguese outlet Jornal de Noticias, via Sport Witness, claim the Blues are ‘better placed’ than Manchester United in the race to sign Portugal international Costa. Their report adds that the Blues ‘should start contacts’ in the first days of July, with Costa known to have a release clause of £64.5m (€75m).
