France and Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante is on the verge of joining Saudi Arabian side Al Ittihad on a free transfer. Negotiations have been ongoing for a while now and a bid could be accepted soon.
The 32-year-old will be receiving a salary of €100 million per season until 2025, this includes commercial deals, image rights and ‘creative’ portfolio.
Final details are being discussed then the deal will be officially sealed, as Kanté would leave Chelsea as free agent. Al Ittihad directors recently arrived in London to link up with PIF Saudi delegation to prepare documents.
Kanté would play together with former French teammate Karim Benzema who also joined the club recently on a free transfer from Real Madrid.
The Blues have also been linked with Brazilian winger Neymar who is likely to leave Paris Saint-german this summer. Negotiations are thought to be underway, although no official bid has been made yet. Chelsea Boss Mauricio Pochettino is however optimistic a deal will be agreed soon.
