Chelsea are stepping up their pursuit of a key target. The player in question is Crystal Palace’s Michael Olise.
A report at the end of July claimed that the 21-year-old winger would be available for a fee of around £35m this summer.
101 recently covered reports which claimed Olise is the subject of genuine interest from Manchester City, and it is believed Pep Guardiola’s side see him as a potential replacement for Riyad Mahrez.
However, it seems it is another Premier League side – Chelsea – who are leading the race for the winger at present.
According to journalist Fabrice Hawkins, Chelsea have made a verbal offer of around €30 million for the Frenchman and they are looking to find out more about his injury situation before submitting a written proposal.
It is added that Olise has already agreed personal terms with the west Londoners.
Olise, who scored two and assisted 11 in 37 league games last season, is a proven Premier League talent with bags of potential.
He could be a major signing for Chelsea, but the player himself may be wary of game time as the Blues already have a plethora of attackers on their books.
