CRY 0-1 LIV: Chalobah spotted with error in his debut for Crystal Palace

Chelsea loanee Trevoh Chalobah spotted with an error in his debut for Crystal Palace since joining the West London side on summer transfer window deadline day.

Chalobah's lack of concentration kicked him out of Maresca's team after which he loaned to Crystal Palace and in his debut he was spotted with the same error which cause the home team to lost 1-0 to Reds this afternoon.

Maresca froze Chalobah out of the first team squad leaving the talented centre back with no option but to train with the reserve team. Chalobah secured a loan move to Crystal Palace despite attracting interest from the likes of Napoli and Inter Milan. However, his decision to remain in England mostly preferably London means he would have to accept a move to Palace.

Chalobah wasn’t available for selection for weeks due to an injury he sustained while training with his new teammates at Crystal Palace. Finally, Chalobah starts his first game for the club against Liverpool at Selhurst Park on Saturday afternoon. Chalobah who was directly involved in Liverpool’s early goal before the break. The defender failed to close down Jota who wasted no time to tap the ball into the back of the net from a close range.

Chalobah’s poor concentration in the buildup to Liverpool’s goal explain exactly why Enzo Maresca doesn’t trust him to lead the line for Chelsea. Although there’s no doubt about Chalobah’s raw talent but the defender often mentally checkout of games. For a team like Chelsea who plays possession-based football, Chalobah would be a weak-link in the system.
