Chelsea fans were all making the same comment about Joao Felix after his performance on Tuesday night in the win at home to Barrow.

Chelsea recorded an impressive 5-0 victory over League Two club Barrow in the third round of the Carabao Cup.

Blues head coach Enzo Maresca made 11 changes to his starting line-up from the weekend success in the Premier League against West Ham, so it was a great opportunity for some fringe figures to show their quality.

Christopher Nkunku scored two spectacular goals inside the first 15 minutes to ensure a cup upset was off the cards. Afterwards, Barrow goalkeeper Paul Farman netted an unfortunate own goal.

During the second half at Stamford Bridge, Pedro Neto got himself on the scoresheet for his first Chelsea goal. Nkunku wrapped up his hat-trick to add further gloss to the scoreline, too.

Nkunku is scoring in the Premier League every 4.5 shots. The French attacker just showed in midweek how clinical he is around the penalty box.

Chelsea fans react to Joao Felix display

A selection of Chelsea supporters on social media were busy discussing the individual display of Joao Felix at home to Barrow. The general consensus is that the 24-year-old attacker is an utter joy to watch on a football pitch.

He thrived in the No.10 position in the cup win, producing a magical assist for Nkunku’s first goal with a delicate scooped pass. Also, it was his free-kick that ended up going down as an own goal.

Here are some Blues fans on X discussing Felix’s performance:

Can he get more minutes?

We agree that Felix was one of several players to light up the Bridge this evening, although we must take into perspective it was against League Two opposition.

Felix possesses world-class qualities on his day, especially with his close control and creativity.

Unfortunately for him, he’s got Cole Palmer ahead of him in the race to start in the No.10 spot. It feels like he’s done himself no harm with his glittering display against Barrow, though.
