Andrey Santos rejoined RC Strasbourg on loan last month after initially looking like he might stick around with Chelsea and has picked up right where he left off when he was there on loan last season.
The 20-year-old midfielder scored in each of his first two games, including the opening goal in a 3-1 win over Stade Rennais just 23 minutes into his second debut for the club. Santos then also gave his team the lead against Olympique Lyonnais a week later, though RCSA would be unable to hang on as Lyon came from two goals down to win 4-3.
Still, Santos’ good start to the season has been recognized by the league, as he was named Ligue 1 Young Player of the Month for August.
Santos has played every minute that he’s been available for since returning to Strasbourg, including in a 1-1 draw against Angers this weekend (which also featured the debut of Đorđe Petrović).
