Chelsea have a huge amount of players out on loan right now and it seems as if regular football is paying off for one particular player.
Enzo Maresca offloaded 14 players in loan moves in the summer months, which just goes to show how many promising youngsters Chelsea have in their ranks.
However, the problem is, Chelsea fans probably won’t get to see even half of these 14 players as the Blues like to take the Marco van Ginkel route with some players.
Signing youngsters and developing them into superstars is something Chelsea have been trying to do over the past couple of years, and Kendry Paez has a great chance of becoming the next superstar.
However, there’s one young player currently out on loan who caught the attention of Chelsea fans today with his performance.

Chelsea fans react to Andrey Santos’ Strasbourg display
Chelsea fans on social media platform X, were amazed by the display of Andrey Santos, who is valued at £18 million.
Blues supporters are excited about the prospect of seeing the midfielder back at Stamford Bridge after his rise in form out in France.
“Enzo might not be here for long.” one X user posted.
Another said: “This guy is 100 times better than Enzo Fernandez.”
“Bring him back @ChelseaFC.” someone else commented.
While a fourth tweeted: “Santos & Paez are the future in the midfield. Enzo & Lavia (injury prone) might not be in the Chelsea shirt for long. Well.. We’ll see what the future holds!!!”
And a fifth asked: “Andrey, Paez, Estevao these starboys joining Chelsea in 2025.”
“If Andrey Santos doesn’t play for Chelsea next season, I’m going to sue the club. What a baller, what a goal!” another wrote.
An eighth simply said: “Andrey Santos is the real deal.”
Andrey Santos’ Strasbourg display vs Lille
Andrey Santos completed his permanent transfer to Chelsea from Vasco da Gama in January 2023.
However, things haven’t gone to plan for the South American as he’s spent most of his time at loan clubs after failing to reach the heights that many thought he would.
Strasbourg and Lille played out a 3-3 draw, and Andrey Santos put in a fine performance.
Santos scored one goal, had 42 touches, a passing accuracy of 78%, won seven duels, completed his only dribble of the game and made one tackle.
Interestingly, after a topsy turvy time of things since moving to England, Santos has stated that he now feels at home in France at his loan club.
