Raheem Sterling instances in leaving Chelsea this summer

 Raheem Sterling is content at Chelsea and has no plans to leave the club before the 30 August deadline, sources have told Football Insider.

Sterling, 29, has been widely linked with a potential move to Serie A side Juventus – while the Saudi Pro League has also been touted as a possible destination.

Chelsea have added to their wide attacking options this summer through the signing of Wolves star Pedro Neto.

Nevertheless, Sterling is keen to stay at Stamford Bridge and fight for a starting role – repaying the faith the Blues showed when they signed him from Man City two years ago.

The winger is also motivated to return to the England squad by impressing in the Premier League after his recent exclusion at international level.

Sterling has ‘no plans’ to quit Chelsea before deadline

Sterling recently revealed he is missing playing for the Three Lions, adding: “It is one of the best feelings you can ever have. I love playing for England.”

The 82-cap star last played for his country at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

He has played in all five of Chelsea’s friendlies during the pre-season tour of the United States, scoring one goal and providing one assist.

The four-time Premier League winner notched 10 goals and eight assists in 43 appearances across all competitions last term, starting in 31 of those outings.

Enzo Maresca’s side kick off the new campaign against Sterling’s former side Man City on Sunday (18 August).
