Pedro Neto get jersey number 7 to replace Raheem Sterling at Chelsea

According to a report by top Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea are forcing Raheem Sterling out of the club and have taken his jersey from him.

Recall that the former Manchester City winger was not named in the Chelsea squad that welcomed Manchester City in their opening game of the season. He was also a noticeable absence in their squad that is due to take part in their Europa Conference game this Thursday.

According to Sky Sports, Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has told the winger that he is not in his plans this season and should look for a new club. To that effect, Sterling was banned from using the club's first-team training facilities and has been training with the reserve team.

An hour ago, ESPN UK through their official social media page revealed that Chelsea have announced Pedro Neto as their new number 7 ND have stripped Raheem Sterling of that number.

What this means is that Pedro Neto is now the new No.7 at the club. The Portuguese star joined the West London club from Wolves after sealing a move for a reported fee of £54m.

However, Raheem Sterling is a target for Juventus who have asked Federico Chiesa to leave. The English winger could be the Italian winger's replacement.
