Chelsea signed Marc Guiu from Barcelona this summer transfer window as he debunked a rumours flying around his move to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea paid £5m to sign Marc Guiu, as the Blues triggered his release clause.
Marc Guiu has however slammed talks that he joined Chelsea for the money, after leaving Barcelona so early in his career.
When asked about it by BBC, Guiu refuted claims saying he joined Chelsea for money.
“It was not an issue with my contract,” the Spaniard said.
“I’ve always dreamt of playing in the Premier League and Chelsea is a great club with a lot of history.
“It was a tough decision but it was an amazing opportunity, so I had to go for it.”
