Chelsea football club are getting more ruthless in their attempt to move out their unwanted players this summer.
The Blues are looking to trim their squad before the end of the summer transfer window and are now looking to make Stamford Bridge a living hell for those players they no longer want at the club.
Yesterday ESPN UK revealed that the Blues had taken Raheem Sterling’s No.7 jersey and had given it to their new signing Pedro Neto after he joined from Wolves.
And now Fabrizio Romano has reported similar thing, but this time it is to another player.
According to the transfer journalist, Chelsea have stripped Trevoh Chalobah of his No.14 jersey and have given it to another new signing, João Félix.
This means that the club have handed new numbers to Felix and Pedro in a bid to force Chalobah and Sterling out of the club.
Recall that the West London club banned Trevoh Chalobah from training with the first-team and using the first-team training facilities. The defender has been asked to leave the club and find new place. Some Premier League clubs remain keen on him but no deal has been reached yet.
Sterling on the other hand was left out of two Matchday squads, missing their Premier League opener against City and will miss their Europa Conference League playoffs today as well.
The England winger is of interest to Juventus and couod replace Federico Chiesa at the club following his pending departure.
