Chelsea will want to finish their first preseason trip under Enzo Maresca with a solid showing on Tuesday night against European champions Real Madrid.
The European champions lost 2-1 to rivals in the El Clasico, Barcelona, while Enzo Maresca's team let up four goals to Manchester City over the weekend.
Chelsea team news
Cole Palmer, Marc Cucurella, and Conor Gallagher are still on their post-Euro 2024 vacation, Copa America duo Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo have finally joined the club in the USA. Due to injury, French defender Axel Disasi and striker Nicolas Jackson are also out of the running. Chelsea Boss Maresca is expected to continue to shuffle the pack a lot, with Christopher Nkunku and Marc Guiu seeking for the lead role.
The starting lineup might be refreshed by Ben Chilwell, Wesley Fofana, Benoit Badiashile, Sterling, and Madueke, while Filip Jorgensen looks to make his debut for the Blues in goal after.
Real Madrid team news
Real Madrid ranks were also decimated by international call ups this summer. Jude Bellingham, Dani Carvajal, Ferland Mendy, Aurelien Tchouameni, Kylian Mbappe and Eduardo Camavinga were not involved in El Clasico after Euro 2024.
