Chelsea will face Swiss side Servette in the UEFA Conference League play-offs this month. Servette, who lost 2-1 to Braga in the Europa League qualifying third round, will now compete in the Conference League play-offs against Chelsea. The first leg will be held at Stamford Bridge on Thursday, August 22, with the second leg taking place in Switzerland the following week.
This will be Chelsea’s first competitive match in Switzerland since 2013, when they lost 1-0 to Basel in the Champions League group stage, with Mohamed Salah scoring the only goal.
Chelsea fans are upbeat about the games, with many predicting an easy win. One fan wrote on social media: "10-0 incoming. I trust my boys." Another said: "Servette in the UCL, yes!" A third added: "I’m confident we’ll beat Servette in the qualifiers."
The play-off matches also offer Chelsea a chance to showcase their new signings, including Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Tosin Adarabioyo, Marc Guiu, Aaron Anselmino, and Filip Jorgensen.
Additionally, Chelsea are pursuing a deal for Osimhen, valued at £85 million, and are preparing an offer involving Romelu Lukaku, Cesare Casadei, and £39million.
