Chelsea have resume Victor Osimhen negotiations with Napoli ahead of summer transfer deadline day.
Following their impressive 6-2 victory over Wolves at the Molineux, with Madueke netting a hat-trick and goals from Palmer, Joao Felix, and Jackson, Chelsea seems to have a confident squad for the upcoming season. Despite signing more than nine players, the club remains focused on adding a striker before the transfer deadline.
Reports from Sky Sports' Kaveh Solhekol suggest that Chelsea is interested in signing Napoli striker Victor Osimhen and has reopened talks with Napoli for the Nigerian forward, with negotiations becoming more favorable for the English club.
Although Daily Mail previously stated that a fee exceeding £80m would be necessary to secure the services of the 25-year-old striker, Napoli's recent signing of Romelu Lukaku may have changed the situation. It appears that the Italian side is now open to finding a solution for Osimhen.
One potential obstacle remains Osimhen's wage demands, but there are indications that he may consider accepting a lower salary than initially desired.
