Chelsea make U-turn to keep fantastic player at Stamford Bridge

According to The Chelsea Chronicle, Chelsea need to act swiftly this week if they hope to finalize some of their planned sales before the transfer window closes on Friday. Reports indicate that the club is aiming to facilitate 12 exits in the coming days.

Romelu Lukaku appears set to leave, with his transfer to Napoli awaiting official confirmation. Additionally, Chelsea have completed the sale of Conor Gallagher, which has led to Joao Felix returning to Chelsea.

Trevoh Chalobah, who was initially expected to move after being excluded from the pre-season tour in the United States, might now stay at Stamford Bridge. Rahman Osman notes that Chalobah’s handling of the situation has impressed many at the club. Osman stated, “Trevoh Chalobah could still leave Chelsea before close of the window but told he’s impressed many within the club with how he’s handled everything that has been thrown at him. So much so that Chelsea could listen to offers for Disasi instead.”

In other news, Newcastle United are reportedly interested in Axel Disasi, whose future at Chelsea looks uncertain. He has yet to be named in a Premier League matchday squad, with Levi Colwill and Wesley Fofana currently preferred in defense. Given their injury concerns, having a reliable backup like Chalobah could be crucial.
