Chelsea manager, Enzo Maresca, has confirmed he is planning to keep Marc Guiu in the first-team squad this season.
The 18-year-old signed for the Blues in a £5million deal from Barcelona this summer.
Guiu featured in both the 2-2 draw with Wrexham and the 4-1 defeat to Celtic on Saturday.
A lot of people believed the teenager would be sent out on loan to gain more experience.
But after the game against Chelsea, Maresca said: “The idea with Marc, with all the young players, is to have a look now during the pre-season and then to make a decision altogether.
“I think Marc is doing well and he’s one of the guys in this moment is going to stay with us and not going to go somewhere.”
