Transfer News LIVE: Chelsea officially announce winger deal, Blues fans to welcome new signing, Star urges to join Chelsea, defender agrees move

Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news and gossip that we think you guys could have missed today

Marcus Rashford has been urged to leave Manchester United and sign for Chelsea instead.

Rashford has been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons this season and looks nothing like the player that netted 30 goals for MAN UNITED just a few seasons ago.

He has really struggled this season under boss Erik Ten Hag and has only managed to score 8 goals in all competitions for Manchester United, which is not good enough for a player of his ability.

Speculation about him leaving the club this summer has wavered in recent weeks and According to William Gallas – who was speaking to Gambling Zone – a fresh start could be the best solution for all parties.

‘There will always be quality players who are interested in signing for CHELSEA, but we have to ask if Rashford would want to leave Man United. A player like Rashford, we want to see the exciting young player who broke through on fire, running everywhere and scoring beautiful goals.

‘Another club for a fresh start could be the right option and Chelsea would provide this for him.’

It comes after Rio Ferdinand has opened up and claimed that Rashford may now have to think twice about staying at the Red Devils – The ex-defender told the Stick to Football podcast via Sky Bet: “It’s a pivotal moment in his career now. He’s not a kid anymore. A lot of people look at potential and talent.

“He’s 26 – what were you [the panel] doing at 26? We were still making mistakes, don’t get me wrong, but on the football pitch you had it locked down, you knew what you were doing, you knew what you were about, who you were.

“There’s a big decision to make for him. From him, he’s got to look at who is around him.

“I know his family play a big part with him, which is great, but who are the external people around that?

“Are they the right people, are they enabling him to make excuses for himself behind closed doors, or are they saying, ‘Look at yourself, and be accountable for what you are doing’? He needs to look at that and own that and make big decisions.

“When I joined Leeds United, I could’ve gone to CHELSEA, and they were probably the club I preferred to go to at the time.

“The reason I left [West Ham] to go to Leeds was because it was out of London, and the external people around me, I needed to get away from.

“He’ll need to either decide to get rid of them and stay in Manchester or leave Manchester and get rid of those people.

“It might be an accumulation of different things, but that could be a big part because the people around you do have a big influence on how you are – especially accountability.”

CHELSEA TO SIGN DOUE?

Chelsea have won the race to the signing of Rennes right-back Guela Doue – who is reportedly all set to join the Blues this transfer window.

CHELSEA have been busy in the transfer market with a view to kick-starting the Enzo Maresca era, with Tosin Adarabioyo, Marc Guiu, Caleb Wiley, Renato Veiga, Omari Kellyman and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall all coming into the club over the past few months.

But with the transfer window open for another month – there is much more talk that the board will continue adding to the side and building a squad for the future – with a number of exciting talents on the shopping list of the club.

Now – According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Doue is set to make the move to Stamford Bridge – The report claims the 21-year-old will join Chelsea for a fee of around €7million (£5.9m) plus €2m (£1.7m) in bonuses.

The deal will reportedly see the Blues pay a fee of around €7 million (£5.9m) plus an extra €2 million (£1.7m) in add-ons, but he will be immediately sent on loan to Strasbourg for the upcoming season in a bid to securing regular first-team football.

This is another transfer deal that many Blues fans will be wondering if it is needed – the lad is talented – but signing him and then sending him straight out on loan is very familiar.

We have seen so many exciting players get signed by CHELSEA over the past few years and then shipped out all over the place – then forgotten about because they were never good enough for a move to the Blues.

But he will be welcomed and we are sure that he is very excited about the move to London – if it actually happens.

WADE SIGNS UP –

Winger Shaun Wade has signed a new contract with Chelsea until 2027, the club have announced.

But CHELSEA have also been very keen to keep hold of some of the talent that is already at the club and over the past few weeks, we have seen that a number of academy players have been signed up to new long-term deals.

And now the Blues have announced that talented winger Wade has agreed to stay at the club until at least the summer of 2027 – Chelsea posted on the club website: ‘Shaun Wade began his full-time scholarship with the Blues ahead of the 2023/24 campaign and made 13 appearances for our Under-18s last season.

‘Still only 17 years old, Wade also took the step up to our Under-21s last term and made three appearances in the Premier League 2.

‘Congratulations, Shaun!’

The Score Nigeria View…

Chelsea have been doing so much business over the past few months – there has been numerous announcements and alot of deals done. Wade must be very happy that he has agreed a new deal tat will keep him at the club.

He is one of the lads that the board have big hopes for an with a couple of loan moves over the next couple of seasons – he could be ready to make an impact at Stamford Bridge in a few seasons.

There is plenty more time left in the transfer window so we are sure that CHELSEA will continue to do their business – but keeping the best young talent at the club is also good moves to make and Wade is certainly a very good talent.
