Chelsea signed up Marc Guiu from Barcelona just last month.
Guiu left Barcelona for just €6m, after refusing to sign a new contract with the Blaugrana.
According to reports, Marc Guiu could return to the city of Barcelona just few weeks after bidding farewell to Camp Nou.
Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca believes Guiu would benefit from a loan away from the club, which would help the 18-year-old gain experience and refine his skills.
According to Diario Sport, Enzo Maresca has suggested that Guiu should join Barcelona’s bitter rivals, Espanyol.
Espanyol have recently returned to the La Liga after a year in the Segunda Division and are seeking to reinforce their attack following Martin Braithwaite’s departure.
Barcelona fans will definitely be angered to see Guiu play for Espanyol, after eleven years in the Blaugrana colours.
Guiu was highly rated at the Camp Nou, but barely got minutes under former boss Xavi Hernandez.
