Chelsea have confirmed on their official website that Levi Colwill has been given the squad number 6.
It was previously worn by Thiago Silva, who left Stamford Bridge this summer on contract expiry after four incredible years at the club.
The Englishman played with number 26 on his back last season as he finally broke into the first team, making 23 Premier League appearances.
It has been previously reported that Chelsea see Colwill as England's best centre-back in the future and want to keep him at the club at all costs, despite the alleged interest from PSG. The 21-year-old is contracted to the Blues until 2029, with a one-year club option.
