Chelsea striker suffer injury blow

Chelsea's summer transfer coup, the signing of 17-year-old Brazilian sensation Estevao Willian, has been dealt a blow after the talented forward was forced off the pitch in tears during a league game for Palmeiras.

According to report from London World, The Blues had splashed out £28.7 million upfront, with an additional £19.4 million in add-ons, to secure the young prodigy's services, beating out rival suitors like Real Madrid and Manchester United.

While Willian is expected to join Chelsea next summer when he turns 18, fans will be eagerly awaiting news on the extent of his injury. Manager Abel Ferreira expressed concern over the situation, admitting that it was "worrying" and that the team was already struggling with losses in the defensive sector.

The setback couldn't come at a worse time for Palmeiras, who are already dealing with injuries to key players Murilo and Piquerez. Ferreira lamented the timing of Willian's injury, revealing that he had been forced back into the lineup too soon, only to suffer a setback.

Meanwhile, Chelsea is set to bolster their squad further with the arrival of Danish goalkeeper Filip Jörgensen.

The shot-stopper is expected to undergo a medical in America before putting pen to paper on a deal with the Blues. Jörgensen is tipped to challenge Robert Sanchez for the number one spot, with manager Enzo Maresca keen on a goalkeeper who can distribute the ball effectively from the back.
