Chelsea outcast returns to Cobham to start pre-season friendly

One Chelsea outcast has returned to Cobham today to begin preseason training at the club once again in news that will annoy many Chelsea fans.

The majority of the Chelsea squad are currently out in the USA as part of their pre-season prep and tour, taking part in a number of friendly matches ahead of the new Premier League season starting in less than two weeks time now.

But the players who are either going to be going out on loan or who the club want to sell sooner rather than later, have been kept behind in a group at Chelsea’s Cobham training centre to continue their training ahead of the new season.

And today, according to Mike McGrath from The Telegraph as seen further below, striker Romelu Lukaku is coming back to Cobham today to join Blues training with the above mentioned group.

I think there is basically no chance that Lukaku stays at Chelsea for this season and you can fully expect him to still be sold despite a new manager coming in at Stamford Bridge this summer.

Chelsea have seemingly been trying to sell him for years now without success, so you would expect them to finally be able to get rid of him on a permanent deal rather than a loan deal this summer.

Lukaku annoyed Chelsea fans with the mid-season interview he did complaining about manager Thomas Tuchel and saying he wanted to go back to Inter. He certainly would not be welcomed back at The Bridge.
