According to TYCSports, the midfielder had an impressive outing, being awarded a 7/10 and praised for his part in one of their goals.
They said: “He is content to play as a 5, with a neat distribution. Messi’s goal is a deflection from an offensive run by Enzo. The minutes he has added are bringing him back to his level.”
A number 5 in Argentinian football is described as a holding midfielder who tends to play behind another two midfielders.
They are given the chance to dictate the play in front of them, something that will no doubt be of interest to new Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca.

The Italian reportedly has a plan to get the best out of Fernandez next season, with some likely thinking that they could have seen more from him so far.
When looking at Maresca’s Leicester side, Harry Winks enjoyed a stellar campaign playing a very similar role, and it may be the case that the new boss has a similar idea for the Argentine.
He will likely be starting the campaign alongside Moises Caicedo, who was also performing at a very high level at the Copa America.
There is a chance they play with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall to kick off the campaign, with him already having a strong connection with the boss following their time together at Leicester.
