Antonio Conte is reportedly eager to bring Chelsea striker, Romelu Lukaku to Napoli once Victor Osimhen eventually leaves the Serie A club this summer.
Conte is expected to take charge of Napol as their new manager this summer and is targeting a move for the Belgium international.
According to Corriere Della Sera, Napoli is preparing for the potential departure of Osimhen this summer and has started seeking a replacement for the Nigeria international.
Napoli is looking for Osimhen’s €130 million release clause to be met, confident that either Paris Saint-Germain or Chelsea will make the necessary payment for the 25-year-old striker.
Conte, who is set to replace Francesco Calzona at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium, has expressed his interest in Lukaku to Napoli.
Lukaku, who spent the 2023/24 season on loan at AS Roma, does not wish to return to Chelsea and has a £37 million verbal release clause.
Conte and Lukaku previously teamed up at Inter Milan, winning the Serie A title.
Under Conte’s management, Lukaku scored 64 goals in 95 appearances for Inter Milan.
