Chelsea to announce signing of new manager this week


 The Blues sacked Mauricio Pochettino and are in search of a new manager, as they look to gradually bring the club back to its glory days.

When Mauricio Pochettino was appointed the head coach at Chelsea at the beginning of the season, it raised a high level of excitement within the fans, as they believed it was a step in the right direction.

However, after just one season at the club, the former Paris Saint-Germain and Tottenham manager was asked to step down from his position. He managed to secure a Europa Conference league place for the Blues.

Giving that Chelsea was not in Europe the season before, it was seen as a development that they made it to Europe this time, but the club was afterwards thrown into uncertainty as Spainard left.

Trying to replace Pochettino, the club have identified so many targets, from Thomas Frank to Maresca, but it is the later that have really caught the eyes of those in charge at Chelsea.

According to a report released by SKYSPORTS, Enzo Maresca is waiting on Chelsea after turning down Sevilla.

Fabrizio Romano confirmed this in one of his post, citing that the Leicester manager is more than willing to join Chelsea but awaits a decision from the club.

The report have also claimed that the Blues will have to pay around €10m (£8.6m) for the manager, who guided Leicester back into the Premier League this season.
