Chelsea will not sell star player to PSG

PSG like Levi Colwill, but Chelsea will reject any offer that comes their way because he is “untouchable”, journalist Ben Jacobs has claimed on Substack.

It is understandable, as Colwill is a key player for Mauricio Pochettino and impressed last time out against Manchester City.

As a result, after the game, Liverpool legend Steve Nicol called for Pochettino to stick with his back two of Colwill and Axel Disasi.

In total, the 20-year-old has made 29 appearances for Chelsea this season.

Levi Colwill not for sale

According to Jacobs, Liverpool are also interested in Colwill, but Chelsea’s stance is quite clear: the England international is not going anywhere.

It is the correct stance to take. Colwill signed a new six-year deal last summer and has quickly become an important member of the Blues’ squad, playing at both left-back and centre-back.

Ultimately, the Blues are under no pressure to sell a player who Pochettino values so highly

He is a fantastic talent,” the Argentine told Chelsea’s official website when speaking about Colwill last August.

The defender’s next opponent will be Liverpool and he is likely to start against them, with Thiago Silva struggling to recover from his groin injury ahead of the Carabao Cup final on Sunday.

The Reds may be reminded of why they actually want him but also why Chelsea are so against the idea of parting ways with their academy product.

If Liverpool and PSG are keen on signing a new central defender this summer, then, they are going to have to look elsewhere. It would be a complete shock if Chelsea entertained any approach for a player making an impact for them now and who is likely to do so in the future. We are certain that Colwill is not going anywhere in the next transfer window.
