Chelsea now consider signing of £43m star striker after brilliant performance in UCL

One of the biggest stories of the upcoming transfer window could be who Chelsea look to bring in to play up front for next season.

They chose not to address what to many is a glaring problem in January, instead going the other way by loaning out one of their few options.

Armando Broja made the short trip across West London to join Fulham, with him still waiting for his career there to kick into gear.

This has left a lot of importance on Nicolas Jackson to find the net, with him doing so in one of his two starts since the African Cup of Nations.

However, it is safe to assume that they will be in the market for a new number nine, and that they will not be afraid to spend big money on one between the next two campaigns.

It has frequently been stated that Victor Osimhen is the favourite for this role, however some may well have been concerned by his recent performances representing Nigeria.

If any chiefs at the club were watching Champions League football last night, they will perhaps have been taking notes of what was going on between RB Leipzig and Real Madrid.

Chelsea should look at Sesko

While his side came out with a narrow defeat, many will feel as if they were the better team throughout, and that the 20-year-old was looking very promising.

It has been claimed that he could be available for a fee of around £43m, and this would be a lot cheaper than a number of their other options will be.

They have also been linked to the signing of Viktor Gyokeres, who is currently the striker in Europe who has the most goals and assists combined.
