Christian Pulisic become first American player to feature in UCL final, see what he did against City

United States of America and Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic become first American player to feature in the Champions League (UCL) final, after Chelsea defeated Manchester City 1-0 to crowned Champions of Europe.

Chelsea were crowned Champions of Europe on Saturday night after beating Manchester City 1-0 in the UEFA Champions League final at the Estadio do Dragao

Pulisic played a key role in helping Chelsea’s reach the final, scoring in the first-leg of the semi-final clash with Real Madrid, which proved to be a key away-goal in the tie.

The best chance to double their lead fell to substitute Christian Pulisic, who got in behind the City defence, dinked the ball over Ederson and looked poised to wheel away in delight when the ball bulged the bottom corner.

The USA international no shortage of stress in the latter stages of the contest as City pushed for a leveller. But his miss wasn’t to prove too costly, as the Blues got the job done. And you could sense the relief on Pulisic’s face at the full time whistle.

As the game and the Champions League campaign was brought to its conclusion, the former Borussia Dortmund man sank to his knees, put his arms out wide and looked up to to the Heavens, almost thanking God for that miss not proving too costly.
