Chelsea set to complete signing of Monaco midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni

Chelsea are interested in signing Aurelien Tchouameni from Monaco as Thomas Tuchel set to sign his first player after he replaced Frank Lampard at Stamford Bridge

Chelsea are reportedly interested in Monaco midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni.

According to ESPN, the Blues are huge admirers of the 21-year-old as he continues to impress in Ligue 1.

The Frenchman made his debut in Ligue 1 at 18 years old and has been working under former Bayern Munich manager Niko Kovac.

The midfielder has been part of the most impressive Monaco team since their 2017 Ligue 1 triumph. Monaco are fourth in the league, one point behind Lyon, two behind Paris Saint-Germain and four off leaders Lille.

Tchouameni has been influential in the middle of the park and is tipped to make the Ligue 1 team of the season at the end of this campaign.

The 21-year-old is averaging 4.02 tackles per 90 minutes, 1.78 interceptions per game and is winning 2.65 aerial duels each match.

Tchouameni has made 26 league starts for Monaco this campaign, helping the club contend for the Ligue 1 title.
