Full list of Chelsea FC 2019/20 awards winners. It was an overall successful 2019/20 season campaign for Chelsea Football club, as the men’s team exceeded expectations in Frank Lampard’s first year in charge, while the women’s team reclaimed the Women’s Super League title while adding other trophies and the youth teams also impressed and even won the Premier League 2.
Lots of players performed excellently, and as a result awards have been given by the club to some of these deserving players. The club opened its voting portal for four awards: The Goal of the Season, the Academy player of the Season, the Women’s Player of the Season and the Men’s Player of the Season. Voting has been done, and the awards have been decided!
Here is the full list of Chelsea awards winners for 2019/20 season
Goal of the Season
Fikayo Tomori’s wonder strike against Wolverhampton Wanderers won the goal of the season award, beating out competition from the likes of Christian Pulisic, Mason Mount, Sophie Ingle and Tino Anjorin.
Academy Player of the Season
Billy Gilmour was named the Academy player of the Season, after a breakthrough season which saw him impress for the youth squad then subsequently break into the first team.
Women’s Player of the Season
Bethany England was named the Chelsea Women’s Player of the Season after a prolific campaign which saw her finish as the Blues’ highest goalscorer. She beat out competition from the likes of Guro Reiten and Sophie Ingle to win this award.
Men’s Player of the Season
Mateo Kovacic was named the Men’s Player of the Season, after a campaign in which he was undoubtedly one of Frank Lampard’s most consistent performers. He won this ahead of the likes of Mason Mount, Christian Pulisic and Cesar Azpilicueta.
