The Premier League 2019/20 season has just been concluded, as Vardy, Ederson and De Bruyne pick Premier League 2019/2020 season awards.
Chelsea, Man United joined Liverpool and Manchester City to finish in the top four, as Tottenham snagged an automatic Europa league spot by finishing sixth ahead of Wolves.
At the other end, joined Norwich City in going down the relegation drain. But there are other takeaways.
The race for the Golden boot is officially over, and we have a winner: Jamie Vardy of Leicester City. The Foxes’ front man scored 23 goals overall, leading his side to an impressive campaign which ended in disappointment as they missed out in a champions League spot, having been in the top 4 for so long.
Still it’s a welcome achievement for Vardy, who beat Danny Ings and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to the award, winning it for the second time in his career after winning it in the 2015/16 season when they win the league. At 33-yeats, he also became the oldest player to win the Premier League Golden boot.
Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson clinched the Golden Glove, with a clean sheet in the just concluded game against Norwich taking his total to 16, one more than Burnley’s Nick Pope. Ederson win the best goalkeeper of the year (210/2020 season) award.
And Ederson’s teammate, the sensational Kevin De Bruyne won the award for the playmaker of the season. The wawrd is given to the player with the highest number of assists, and KDB’s 20 assists were more than enough to earn him the title.
