Done Deal: Kai Havertz's Sister Confirms Havertz Will Move To Chelsea Next Month

Chelsea are looking to conclude the signing of Kai Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen once the Premier League season is completed. Havertz’s sister says “He’s moving to London next month

Chelsea fans have been teased that Kai Havertz could be on his way to Stamford Bridge in a matter of weeks, after his sister appeared to confirm the transfer on social media. The attacking midfielder is high on Frank Lampard’s shopping list and the Blues have already held talks with the player.

As was the case with Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech, Lampard is set to play a key role in convincing Havertz that Chelsea is the right move for him.

The player has already told Bayer Leverkusen that he wants to leave the club this summer.

Leverkusen have slapped a £90million asking price on his head but Chelsea value him way closer to £70m.

They’re expected to enter negotiations much nearer £50m as they look to chance their arm and safe a fortune for further spending elsewhere.

The Blues still have Sunday’s final day Premier League clash with Wolves to worry about for the meantime.

A point would be enough to secure Champions League football for next season, something that would act as a bargaining chip in talks with Havertz.

Then there will be the small matter of the FA Cup final against Arsenal before next month’s Champions League last 16 second-leg with Bayern Munich.

By the time that comes around, there is every chance Havertz could be a Chelsea player if his sister is anything to go by.

In what appears to be a leaked conversation via Instagram which has been obtained by the Football Terrace Podcast, screenshots have emerged appearing to confirm Havertz is moving to London next month.

It starts with somebody wishing Havertz’s sister Lea a happy birthday, before cheekily asking: “My colleague asked me about your young sibling. Does he change clubs?”

To which Lea Havertz replies: “He’s moving to London next month.”

To which the mystery messenger responded: “Fantastic, Chelsea?”

“Yes!” Leah says.

Chelsea fans took to Twitter to express their delight at discovering the exchange.

One fan wrote: “His sister confirmed he is coming.”

Another said: “So apparently Havertz sister has confirmed his move to Chelsea. I just hope this deals goes through with all of these rumours.”

While another suggested Chelsea need more additions: “Havertz sister confirms he is coming. Now we need a Lb, Cb , Gk and maybe dm.”

A fourth posted: “Havertz will join Chelsea next month confirmed by his sister.”

“The Havertz deal is done he is coming to London in August,” said another.

Havertz is now back in training with Leverkusen as they prepare for their Europa League clash with Rangers in two weeks.

His international team-mate Leroy Sane appeared to confirm that he was joining Chelsea yesterday, with a slip of the tongue.

“I think Germany has always had very good young German players. Many young players get their chance and develop well in the Bundesliga,” he said.

“I think that with [Timo] Werner and Havertz, two Germans in one year, Chelsea did a good job.”
