Chelsea to offer Timo Werner shirt number 11 tomorrow as he will be officially welcome to bridge

Chelsea are set to offer German centre-forward, Timo Werner, his favoured No.11 jersey number after completed signing from RB Leipzig and will officially welcome to Stamford Bridge tomorrow.

The West London club have confirmed that the Germany international forward will be arriving at Stamford Bridge at the end of the 2019/20 campaign after agreeing a £47.5 million deal with the Germany top-tier.

Werner, who has found back of the net 32 goals in 43 games for RB Leipzig this campaign, has signed a five-year contract worth just over £170,000 per week.

The 24-year-old German forward has not yet been assigned a squad number, however, according to the Daily Telegraph, the forward will take Pedro Rodriguez current number 11.

Werner has worn that number during his four-year spell at RB Leipzig and is believed to be keen on to wear it at Stamford Bridge as well.

Recent reports from Britain suggested that Pedro Rodriguez has already agreed to join Serie A giants AS Roma and will leave the club this month.

Werner, meanwhile, will make a switch to Stamford Bridge once RB Leipzig’s Bundesliga season ends and he won’t participate in the Champions League with the German club.
