The Croatian international Ivan Rakitic is being heavily linked with a move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer transfer window.
Tottenham Hotspur is keen on the idea of making a summer transfer window swoop for Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic, according to reports in Spain.
The Croatian international, 32, is expected to leave the Nou Camp this summer before Barcelona runs the risk of losing him on a free transfer, with his contract due to expire in the summer of 2021.
As well as that being a reason for the ball-playing midfielder’s expected departure from the La Liga giants, he has been in and out of the team this season, as he has been forced to battle with the likes of Arturo Vidal and Arthur for a central-midfield berth.
But with an exit looking likely, it is claimed by reports that Tottenham head coach Jose Mourinho is showing a keen interest in landing the former Sevilla man.
The prospect of Rakitic making a switch to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the next transfer window has most certainly got Spurs fans talking, with many of them relishing the prospect of seeing the Croatian, who helped his country reach the FIFA World Cup final back in 2018.
Here is what some Spurs fans have had to say on social media about the prospect of signing Rakitic this summer.
